Though less than a mile long, Mary S. Young State Park's heavily forested trails and steep hills make this natural escape feel much larger than it truly is. Some five to eight miles of trails cross through the park, ranging from paved paths to gravel trails that lead all the way to the Willamette River. A playground and some treeless fields edge the parking lot, allowing for family games and play as well. The park is on the western edge of the river on the north side of West Linn.
